Definitions
The Gourmet Scotch Egg Co. has the legal trading name of HHC. Force Majeure – Any mechanical breakdown, flood, fire, storm, tempest, act of war, terrorism, Government restriction or act of God which may cause the premises to be inaccessible or closed temporarily or otherwise or the function to be interrupted or the supply or movement of meat to be restricted or prohibited.
Scotch Egg Ordering and Delivery Information
- After ordering allow us time to make them fresh for you before we despatch, currently Wednesday.
- Orders received after 12pm lunchtime on Tuesday are too late to dispatch on Wednesday for Thursday/Friday delivery and will be sent the following Wednesday.
- Posted out in our special food packaging for England ONLY delivery to you, for best practice please keep them refrigerated once received and have a 5 day shelf life.
- Orders not delivered on Thursday by DPD – DPD may deliver on Friday or on rare occasions it may be Monday, this unfortunately is outside of our control, DPD state “1-2 day delivery throughout the UK, Monday – Friday” even though we pay for the ‘Next day 24hr delivery’ service; you can contact DPD customer service on 0121 2750505
- If you wish to cancel or amend your order this must be done via email 24hrs before our cut off on Tuesday, to ensure postage and other costs have not already been incurred.
- Please Add Your Phone Number to PayPal when paying we wont use it or keep it we just let the Courier have it so they can contact with delivery information for you and if they need to speak to you ie; Your out, they can’t find your address, therefore if you dont give us your phone number then the courier cant contact you which is not our fault and we won’t under any circumstance issue refunds for late, missed and spoilt deliveries where no phone number has been given.
- We package our scotch eggs using special food packaging which will keep scotch eggs at an ambient temperature for a few days, we use next 1 to 2 day delivery courier service to help them reach our customers in good condition, our couriers need a contact phone number to send text updates and use in the event that they need directions.
- It is solely your responsibility to advise courier / DPD if you have a ‘safe place‘ if you’re not going to be in for delivery or other delivery information this can be done by the email from the courier, if you miss your delivery or have not contacted the courier to A. Leave with neighbour, B, Leave in safe place, we will not be liable for refunds as its not our fault.
We use next 1 to 2 working day UK only delivery (phone number required for courier DPD no refunds without a phone number or for missed deliveries) once we have made your eggs. The £8.00 includes England ONLY postage and packaging for up to X6 scotch eggs our minimum quantity.
